Ginger for health

Ginger can be used fresh, dried, powdered, or as an oil. ⁠

Ginger has a long history of use in various forms of traditional and alternative medicine. It’s been used to aid digestion, reduce nausea, and help fight the flu and common cold.⁠

Gingerol is the main bioactive compound in ginger and research has shown it to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.⁠

We use ginger almost daily in our cooking and in tea. ⁠

To have easy access to fresh ginger whenever we need it we make ginger cakes. ⁠

Using organic ginger we pulse it in the food processor and then freeze it in a silicon mini muffin tray. Once they are frozen we remove them and store in a bag in the freezer. ⁠
