Health Benefits of Pets

We have a LOT of pets. Among them an 8 year old goldfish, bunch of cats, desert tortoises and a dog.

We are not quite such how it happened… but they are all rescues and we love them. (The fish was won at a carnival… is that even legal?)

There are many health benefits of owning a pet. They can increase opportunities to exercise, get outside, and socialize.

Regular walking or playing with pets can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels.

Pets can help manage loneliness and depression by giving us companionship.
