Spring is here in Las Vegas and with that comes a plethora of beautiful flowers. Using roses in natural remedies is a tradition that dates back thousands of years. Roses are believed to have many medicinal benefits and have been used as a pain reliever, bronchodilator, anti-convulsive, anti-microbial and as an anti-inflammatory.
Roses may be used used as cough syrup, to treat reflux, as a laxative, and to reduce blood sugar and the oil is said to treat depression and stress. It also may also have benefits for wound healing, allergies, skin conditions and headaches.
To make rose water tea, steep a handful of rose petals in boiling water for ten minutes then strain. Drink up to two cups daily. We like to mix ours with ginger & honey.
Rose petals are mostly water but they do contain vitamins A, C, E, and B. Drinking rose water will help you stay hydrated and is purported to have anti-aging benefits as well as be mood enhancing.
This is fun and easy to make.
We also made ice cubes of rose water to add to teas & recipes 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 #wellness #health #healthylifestyle #selfcare #yoga #healthy #motivation #beauty #nutrition #love #lifestyle #wellbeing #rose #mindfulness #healthyliving #meditation #selflove #organic #mentalhealth #rosewater #healing #relax #healthyfood #natural #functionalMedicine #holistichealth #intergrativemedicine #holistichealing #manifestation
